Mon Valley Alliance and cfsbank partner to support local organizations

Mon Valley Rowing Club & Aquatorium Innovations are awarded grant funding

The Mon Valley Alliance Foundation recently awarded The Mon Valley Rowing Club a $500 grant to assist with outreach initiatives to encourage rowing as an extra-curricular activity for students in the Mon Valley Region.


The Mon Valley Rowing Club, a local non-profit organization based in Belle Vernon, PA, operates a Junior Rowing Program for students in grades 8 through 12 from schools throughout the Mon Valley. Students are matched with an adult leader in a mentoring relationship as they work to build a strong work ethic, gain big picture exposure, make college connections and experience relational growth. The organization offers need-based scholarships to any youth who wants to participate and strives to help them receive scholarship opportunities for higher education. The Mon Valley Alliance Foundation recently awarded Aquatorium Innovations a $250 grant to help with advertising of the 2021 summer concert series.


Aquatorium Innovations is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, utilizing The Noble J. Dick Aquatorium to encourage residents and visitors to shop, dine, and explore downtown Monongahela, PA. The Aquatorium is a first of its kind, 3,700+ seat river front outdoor auditorium located in the heart of downtown Monongahela, PA.


Aquatorium Innovations host “Rockin’ on the Mon” an annual concert series that brings the community and visitors together for low-cost entertainment each summer. The 2021 concert series started with Six Gun Sally on July 3rd and will continue with Full Moon Fever on July 24th, 7 Bridges on July 31st, and Come Together on August 7th.
