The Mon Valley Alliance team had a great visit with the Tech Met team and State Representative Tim O'Neal

Tech Met, Inc, a 100% employee-owned company located in Glassport, PA since 1988, expanded their operations to Donora, PA in 2018.

Tech Met specializes in chemical milling and surface treatment post-processing services for high temperature 3D printed alloys. Creating custom and standard chemical milling, Tech Met serves a variety of industries: Aircraft and Aerospace, Medical, Military and Mil Spec, Architectural, and Industrial and Commercial. Chemical Milling is the process of removing surface material using chemical dissolution. Tech Met can chemically mill features, size parts, remove weight and prepare surfaces by removing unwanted surface conditions. To achieve selective milling, a bath dip and airless spray application techniques provide masking to remove on specified depths and locations of selective pockets. Precise removals are accomplished by continuous monitoring and active process control to include careful control chemistry, engineered part agitation, and extensive process knowledge.
