
The Mon Valley Alliance Foundation, the Greater Charleroi Community Development Corporation, and several nonprofits and business partners announced a six-year plan that will drive $1.5 million into Charleroi for community improvement projects and social services.

The former Charleroi Area High School Stadium was demolished in 2018. With over 4 acres of riverfront property now available for development, we are working on plans to create recreational space, expand the Charleroi Boat Launch, and install additional public amenities to the area.

Phase 1
Phase I of the Magic City Riverfront Park has been completed and included:

Repaving parking lot and adding new parking for vehicles and trailers

New lighting, public safety cameras, curbing, and sidewalks

Currently, the Mon Valley Alliance has developed the first phase at a cost of approximately $450,000.

Master Plan for the remaining 4 acres
The Mon Valley Alliance (MVA) is redeveloping the former Charleroi football stadium into a community park. Phase 1, including parking, a boat launch, and river access, is complete. The next phase will add a picnic pavilion, playground, amphitheater, sports courts, and more. This project aims to boost local recreation and economic activity.
