INVITATION FOR BIDS

MON VALLEY ALLIANCE (MVA) will receive bids for the MON VALLEY BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTER OFFICE RENOVATION PROJECT NO. LS 22-22 until 2:00 P.M., prevailing time, on February 6, 2024, at the offices of Kulak-George Architects, at 509 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Electronic copies of the contract documents for each contract including drawings, technical specifications, and bid forms, may be obtained via email from Kulak-George Architects, 509 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063 (Phone 724-258-2959). A non-refundable payment of $200.00 payable to Kulak-George Architects, LLC is required for each set of printed contract documents.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., ON JANUARY 24, 2024 AT THE PROJECT SITE AT 235 WEST MAIN STREET, MONONGAHELA, PENNSYLVANIA 15063. ANY POTENTIAL BIDDER NOT ATTENDING THIS MEETING WILL BE CONSIDERED DISQUALIFIED AND WILL FORFEIT THE COST OF THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The form of the guaranty shall be in accordance with the type permitted under the contract documents.

​

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

​

MVA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by MVA for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.

​

In no event will MVA consider a contractor as eligible if he cannot initiate the work under the contract within 14 days of the contract execution and proceed to the successful completion of the work within 90 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
