Proceeds from the Mon Valley-Opoly Paint and Sip will go towards Mon Valley Alliance Foundation’s (MVAF) Community Development Fund that is implementing a mini-grant program for local individuals and businesses. MVAF will be awarding five separate $250 grants until the end of 2018 under a rolling application system. Mini-grant applications are due by no later than 2 p.m on the last day of the month for consideration for the next month.

Charleroi, PA, February 19, 2018 – The Mon Valley Alliance (MVA) announced today the election of two additional community leaders to its fifteen-member Board of Directors.
Donna Weckoski and Jeremy Wallace were elected by the current members of the Board and began serving their terms January 1, 2018.

Charleroi, PA, February 9, 2018 – The Pennsylvania Water Trail Partnership has named the Mon Valley Alliance (MVA) as the managing organization for the Monongahela River Water Trail.
The Pennsylvania Water Trails Partnership, which manages the Pennsylvania Water Trails Program, is made up of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, and the National Park Service.
